Hi, my name is Megan and I am so happy you made it to my slice of the bookish world. Well Read Candle Co is a woman-owned small business operating just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.

I never would have imagined adding chandler to my list of "job" titles. A few years ago I was feeling lost. I needed something for myself outside of being a mother, a full-time staff accountant, and an anxiety-ridden individual. I have been a romance reader for 20+ years and knew I wanted to further that journey somehow. In comes my first candle making kit in 2022 and my love for the science of candle making was born. Being able to combine my love for books and candle making has been phenomenal. Working with authors and being able to call them friends is something I will never take for granted.

Now we are a little over 3 years after that first candle making kit and what Well Read has already accomplished is one for the books (pun intended). I was able to quit my full-time job in January 2026 and now have the ability to take Well Read to new heights.

Over 18,000 candles, wax melts, perfume and room sprays have made their way all over the world and I can not wait to see what's next!
